Fabian will share his story at Pumps & Pipes in Houston

ToPerform’s CEO and founder, Fabian Compagner, has been invited to share his remarkable story at the Pumps & Pipes Annual Event in Houston on December 8th.

This annual event brings together innovators from the process, energy, medical, academia, and aerospace industries, as well as venture capitalists and equipment manufacturers, to exchange ideas and explore crossover technologies.

Fabian will deliver his talk, “Surviving the unseen: How my aortic dissection inspired a new way into fouling monitoring of pipelines.”

In his session, Fabian will share his personal journey of surviving an aortic dissection, a life-threatening condition that often goes undetected until it’s too late. His experience revealed striking parallels between the human body and industrial systems, showing how hidden problems, whether in arteries or pipelines, can have severe consequences if left unnoticed.

At ToPerform, Fabian and his team have developed the ToPerform® Fouling Sensor and AI technology that not only detects fouling but also predicts its development, providing critical visibility and actionable insight for operational, maintenance and process improvement teams in the chemical industry.

Fabian’s story is a powerful example of how life and engineering can intersect, demonstrating the importance of resilience, awareness, and innovation—values that also drive ToPerform’s mission to make the invisible visible.
